The Interact Club is the only service organization on campus that is open to any and all students who want to make a difference in our school, community, and world.
Interact Clubs are sponsored by local chapters of Rotary International. Our sponsoring club is the Rotary Club of Amite, a group of businessmen and women who have chosen to live out the values of Rotary and put “Service above Self”. The basic principle of the Rotary and Interact Clubs is to help others. Through service activities, Interactors learn the importance of developing leadership skills and personal integrity, demonstrating helpfulness and respect for others, and advancing international understanding and goodwill.
Interact gives young people an opportunity to participate in fun and meaningful service projects while developing leadership skills and meeting new friends.
Members of the club help to develop and carry out a wide variety of service projects, such as our annual toy giveaway for needy students from the Loranger community. Members of the club will also assist the Rotary Club of Amite various local community projects, such as distributing dictionaries to 3rd graders at the elementary school.
There are no special requirements for membership other than a willingness to help others and a desire to make our community a better place in which to live.
